It’s time to tune in for another great episode of TacticalPay radio! This week, we’re lucky to have Lloyd Bailey of The Armed Lutheran podcast and site on the show. As you’ll hear, Lloyd Bailey had a lot of insights to share on gun ownership, running a successful podcast, and self-defense as it relates to the bible.
Lloyd Bailey’s journey with firearms began with a desire to protect his family. As a man of faith, he also found that there was a lot of misleading information out there about guns and self-defense in general. This in addition to many differing opinions on self-defense and Christianity.
As a blogger, Lloyd began writing articles about everything from competitive shooting to Second Amendment issues. However, his main focus has always been on how those who call themselves Christians view the right to bear arms in light of Jesus Christ’s call to love our neighbors as ourselves. He started The Armed Lutheran Podcast in 2016 and has been exploring this topic (and others) on his show ever since.

Industry Spotlight
Armed Lutheran Radio
Armed Lutheran Radio was officially founded in January 2016, but its beginnings began much earlier than that. As far back as 2012, founder Lloyd Bailey had been blogging about many topics related to the intersection of faith, firearms & freedom, the 2nd Amendment, shooting sports, self-defense, & more. All coming from a Lutheran perspective.
What began as simply a way to present blog posts in audio form, has blossomed into one of the best (and most unique) firearms podcasts out today. In each episode, Lloyd covers a variety of interesting topics, and has guests from many different backgrounds who share their thoughts.
The podcast has had such success simply by providing enlightening and entertaining commentary and thoughts, leaving listeners riveted. In addition to the podcast, the Armed Lutheran web site boasts an array of articles, a newsletter, recommended gear (with discount offers), and more. While it was not his intention when starting, Lloyd Bailey has built a fantastic brand and organization focused on education and entertainment in a perfect blend.

This week, we’ve got a great one for you!
Illinois State Rifle Association (ISRA)
The ISRA is a strong community that engages in gun rights advocacy as well as education on behalf of Illinois residents. Through grass roots efforts, strong community leadership, and organization, they have been helping to shape Illinois gun policy for over 114 years.
They have many goals, but chief among them is supporting and protecting the rights and freedoms of all citizens protected by the Bill of Rights under the United States Constitution, including lawful gun ownership.
They also support and promote sportsmanship, good fellowship, marksmanship, and more. Their focus on citizen education on lawful use of firearms, firearm safety, self-defense, competitive shooting and sport hunting is really impressive.
So to the Illinois State Rifle Association, we say, we appreciate your work on behalf of the firearms community!
