Industry Spotlight
Squared Away Customs
Disenchanted with the inconsistency of custom-made gun holsters, gunshop operator Mark A. Lancaster, Jr. set out to be make his own holsters using a thermoplastic material called “Kydex”. So in 2013, Mark founded Squared Away Customs, LLC. Squared Away was started from scratch – literally in Mark’s kitchen! Naturally, his first attempt was not perfect, but it marked the fascinating start of a successful and growing holster company.
Since then, Squared Away Customs has focused on two crucial things: quality products, and quality customer service. Great products often sell themselves, and Mark believes that treating customer’s right is the cornerstone of having success in business. Squared Away Customs offers great holster solutions for anyone in the firearms industry, and through partnerships and quality marketing, continues to grow each and every day.

Pheasants Forever: Ramsey County Chapter 909
Pheasants Forever is an organization all about the conservation of pheasants, quail and other wildlife. And how they reach their goals is through improving habitats, increasing public awareness, education and land management policies and programs.
The Ramsey County chapter (#909) is located in in Minnesota and boasts a strong and engaged membership. They also have an excellent web site with news, information on events, and even raffles. One of the coolest things they do is really work to host youth events and engage the next generation in pheasant hunting and conservation.
Quality Community organizations treat current and future members well and help push their larger organizations forward. Ramsey County’s chapter of Pheasants Forever absolutely excels with this. That’s why they’re your pick of the week…
