Industry Spotlight
The Liberty Belles Women’s Gun Club
Founded by Jenny Williams back in 2016, The Liberty Belles Women’s Gun Club is a club for women, which is run by women, in an effort to promote gun safety.
The club meets once a month and has an open range day once a month.
Their meetings are the second Tues of each month from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm at ESR Tactical located at 3255 Industrial Pkwy, Jeffersonville, IN. Different topics are discussed monthly. Cost to join is $60 for the year, due in August, (and prorated based on join date). They welcome any ladies that are 21 and legally able to have a firearm. A firearm is NOT needed to be a member! Anyoone new to them or thinking owning one are encouraged to stop by. Of course there is no cost to sitting in on the first meeting.
Clearly, The Liberty Belle’s are a welcoming club that does great work advancing causes of firearms safety and mutual support in firearms ownership!
TacticalPay Featured Community Organization of The Week
Each week, we select a “TacticalPay Featured Community Organization of the Week” from our listener submissions! Created to showcase a community organization that is doing important on the ground work related to the firearms community, nominees are selected by our listeners from hundreds of local clubs, shooting groups, hunting and wildlife organizations, education and advocacy organizations, and other firearms related community organizations.
We want to hear about organizations that deserve to be recognized, so if you know of a community organization that you believe is doing excellent work on behalf of the broader firearms community that you’d like to see recognized, drop us a line!
We’ve got a great one for you this week!
Virginia Shooting Sports Association
This week we’re so pleased to acknowledge the Virginia Shooting Sports Association or VSSA. The VSSA has a simple mission, and that’s to protect the Second Amendment rights of, all law abiding Virginians.
VSSA supports many shooting disciplines including junior air rifle, shotgun, pistol and high power rifle. As the official state organization for the NRA, we are responsible for conducting state level shooting championships and selecting the “best of the best” to represent Virginia in the individual and team competition at Camp Perry, Ohio. These “Team Virginia” members are selected from individual members of VSSA and affiliated clubs.
VSSA also promotes hunting. As part of their legislative efforts we work to protect all shooting sports from the anti-gun and anti-hunting crowd.
VSSA annually sponsors the national longest running charity shooting events of its type with the proceeds benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. It is also the longest running shooting event supporting St. Jude.
